Who We Are

Wildlife  Specialties, LLC, is a professional ecological consulting firm located  in Lyons, Colorado and is recognized by the State of Colorado as an  Emerging Small Business.  Wildlife Specialties provides environmental  consultation services to both the public and private sectors. Services  to Federal and State agencies include federal natural resource  legislation including the Endangered Species Act, Forest Management Act,  Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and National  Environmental Policy Act. We conduct wiildlife and ecological studies  including but not limited to Endangered Species Act section 7 Biological  Assessments, Forest Management Act Biological Evaluations,  presence/absence surveys and inventories, habitat assessments, small  mammal trapping surveys, and avian surveys using point counts and  distance sampling. We are experienced in completing the research  necessary for impact assessment and in preparing and reviewing NEPA  documentation including Environmental Assessments and Environmental  Impact Statements.

We  work exclusively with other small environmental and cultural consulting  firms to provide you with a wide range of services under one roof -  making your project move forward seamlessly.

We  use the latest version of ArcGIS with which we can produce all  maps etc. that may be necessary.  We also use a cloud-based digital data  collection system that allows accurate and dependable worry-free  uploading of data that is easily accessible to our clients.  In  addition, we are very experienced with the Microsoft Office suite of  programs.
