Wildlife Specialties, LLC, is a professional ecological consulting firm located in Lyons, Colorado and is recognized by the State of Colorado as an Emerging Small Business. Wildlife Specialties provides environmental consultation services to both the public and private sectors. Services to Federal and State agencies include federal natural resource legislation including the Endangered Species Act, Forest Management Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and National Environmental Policy Act. We conduct wiildlife and ecological studies including but not limited to Endangered Species Act section 7 Biological Assessments, Forest Management Act Biological Evaluations, presence/absence surveys and inventories, habitat assessments, small mammal trapping surveys, and avian surveys using point counts and distance sampling. We are experienced in completing the research necessary for impact assessment and in preparing and reviewing NEPA documentation including Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements.
We work exclusively with other small environmental and cultural consulting firms to provide you with a wide range of services under one roof - making your project move forward seamlessly.
We use the latest version of ArcGIS with which we can produce all maps etc. that may be necessary. We also use a cloud-based digital data collection system that allows accurate and dependable worry-free uploading of data that is easily accessible to our clients. In addition, we are very experienced with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Jerry Powell - Mr. Powell attended Colorado State University where he received both his B.S. in Wildlife Biology and a M.S. in Fishery and Wildlife Biology . He is a Certified Ecologist and a Certified Wildlife Biologist® with over 20 years experience as a wildlife biologist and an environmental scientist.
